Your speaking interview
A practice version of the face-to-face interview, which runs 11–14 minutes in the real test. The examiner's questions appear on screen and are read aloud; you answer out loud, and recording starts by itself after each question.
Part 1
Introduction and interview
about 5 minutes
12 short questions about familiar topics. Two or three sentences each — give a reason, not just yes or no.
Part 2
Long turn
about 4 minutes
A cue card, one minute to prepare with notes, then you talk for up to two minutes. Keep going until the time is up.
Part 3
Discussion
about 5 minutes
6 broader questions linked to your Part 2 topic. Develop each answer: opinion, reason, example.

The examiner marks a written transcript of what you say. You can correct recognition mistakes before you submit.
You will type what you said after each answer
Automatic transcription needs a working microphone. Without one, speak your answer, press “I've finished”, then type what you said as faithfully as you can — mistakes included.
Bandwise never uploads or stores your voice
Recordings are kept in this browser tab only so you can play them back, and are discarded when you leave. Only the text of your answers is sent to Bandwise for scoring.
With automatic transcription, the speech-to-text step is done by your browser's own speech recognition, which in some browsers (Chrome, for example) uses the browser maker's online speech service. If you would rather avoid that, choose to type your answers.
